The story of Sabre began with a love story. In 1992, Francis Gelb and Pascale met, and it was love at first sight. When the two Epicureans crossed paths, an idea was bornan idea of reinventing a modest object, one about 20 centimeters, which they both took an unpretentious pleasure in: cutlery. Francis, who had grown up and trained in a jewelry family, wanted to give these objects a new dimension. In their Parisian apartment, the close couple dreamed of the first creations from this playful and quirky brand, Sabre Paris, while the laughter waved. Thus Sabre Paris was born.
In 1993, when Habitat contacted Francis Gelb to create a knife, the perfect partnership began. The young designer took up the challenge and created a model with a square bush, a complex task. The "Sabre" collection, which would later give its name to the company, began a fruitful partnership. Sabre Paris has been a love story from the beginning.
