Welcome to Nuukk – a creative universe with soul and care
Nuukk is a German brand founded in Berlin by illustrator and mother, Andrea Hild, who in 2010 transformed her passion for watercolor and stationery into a sustainable and meaningful brand. Her target? To create beautiful products with a clear handcrafted expression – without compromising on values such as inclusion, sustainability and aesthetics.
🧵 Washi Tape is made of FSC certified rice paper
Nuukk’s washi tape is made from FSC certified rice paper, printed with environmentally friendly water-based ink. This means that the tape is biodegradable, easy to tear by hand – and at the same time shines with both colours and sustainability.
🎨 Vegan and child-friendly tattoos
The tattoos are made of vegan water-transfer material, dermatologically tested and compostable, and they are supplied in plastic-free packaging (recycledcards). Beautiful motifs for both children and adults – and gathered with care for the skin and the environment.
Sustainability & focus on thinking
At nuukk, sustainability isn’t just a buzzword – it’s at the heart of everything they create. The vast majority of their collection is produced locally in Germany, and especially their toys and soft products are created in collaboration with a workshop in Berlin where people with disabilities or social Challenges are given the opportunity for meaningful work – a genuine and inclusive community.
At nuukk you will find cardboard boxes, wall stickers, tattoos and home decor, created with a love for the illustrated and the personal. Many of the motifs are painted by hand using a brush on watercolor paper – and this is precisely what gives the nuukk its warm and authentic expression.
Diversity and consideration
Andrea creates products that both children and adults can reflect in – without gender stereotypes or mainstream design. She currently collaborates with several talented illustrators who contribute to nuukk’s unique universe.
