Benamor was created in 1925 by a pharmacist in Lisbon.

His handmade recipes were based on natural ingredients that grow naturally under the sun in Portugal, including: lemon, roses, aloe vera and almond oil.

Along with the beautiful Art Deco style packaging, the products quickly became a huge hit amongst Lisbon’s population, and Queen Amélie was also a fan.

Today, Benamor is still one of Portugal’s most popular and beloved beauty brands with fantastic recipes and the different lines each have their purpose based on the ingredients. For example, the Jacarands line is soothed while the Alecrim series is purified.
