At Gry & Sif, every product is handmade, which means that there is only one of each. Small variations and unique details characterise each individual product and add a special charm.
Although Gry & Sif are Danish in design, all their products are handmade in Nepal by highly skilled craftsmen. They only use pure natural wool from New Zealand in their production to ensure the highest quality.
In 2009, Gry & Sif achieved Fair Trade certification from the World Fair Trade Organization. This underlines their commitment to supporting Nepalese workers and ensuring good working conditions. They are deeply impressed by the kindness, openness and infectious smile of the Nepalese people.
The story of Gry & Sif began with an exciting backpacking trip to Nepal in 2001. Originally, the plan was to continue on to the east, but the intense fascination and love for this amazing country caused them to change course. During their stay in Nepal, they witnessed the unique culture and way of life of the Nepalese people, and the idea of "Gry & Sif" took shape.
In their vision, they wanted to combine the simple, timeless Danish design with the raw and rustic fabrics that Nepal is known for. Gry & Sif was therefore founded with the aim of creating a unique universe of felt products. These colorful and imaginative works of art are created with countless hours of dedicated work and creativity and are ready to spread joy throughout the world.
