Marie Langaa Ceramics

The ceramicist behind these unique products graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts Design School on Bornholm in 2008. All designs are developed and produced at our own workshop in Sorø, where functionality and aesthetics go hand in hand.

The production focuses on moulded porcelain objects, where the fascination lies in the objects’ function – they are created to be used and handled in everyday life. Each product stems from an underlying idea and an experimental approach to materials. The design often starts with sewn models that are manipulated and further developed to the final design in porcelain.

Great emphasis is placed on the meeting between materials and recognizable shapes, which gives the products a special combination of innovative thinking and functional recognition.
