Clay by Tina Marie
Tina Marie hopes that some of her passion for ceramics will rub off on you! For her, the work with clay and the creation of ceramic pieces have become a much appreciated part of her life. A time of self-care and recharging her batteries. Sitting behind the turntable is a hypnotic feeling of inner peace.
The background of having her own fashion brand and working with textile and graphic design for many years contributes to her way of thinking about color, shape, shape and texture. However, when she creates her ceramic pieces, she completely trusts her intuition and never plans anything. It's just her and a bunch of laughs. Inspiration for her work comes in many forms, but is always based on the nature that surrounds her. She has always loved the beach, and especially the North Sea, where she grew up, is a great inspiration for her.
The texture of sand on a stormy beach, the color of a shellfish or a stone found on the beach, the texture of an old piece of wood, the color of a beautiful sunset, a mood, a color, a scent, a feeling, but always based in nature.
Working with clay and creating pottery was love at first sight for her. She has always had an urge to create and experiment, and she has done so with various crafts and materials throughout her life. But she has never come across anything that felt as natural and intuitive as working with clay. She established her own ceramic studio in 2020, when the studio she worked in was shut down under Covid. A life changing decision and one of the best decisions of her life!
