COPO Design was founded in 2019 in Annecy, in the middle of the French Alps. The brand emerged when an art director and a photographer shared a desire to create objects that unite aesthetics and ecology. The inspiration came when they discovered a very special material: wood filament. Wood filament is a 100% natural material consisting of 60% corn starch and 40% recycled wood shavings. The combination makes it possible to create decorative everyday objects with a strong focus on sustainability – without compromising on the design. Behind COPO Design are Sophie and Alex, who work based on the philosophy that beautiful objects can also be responsible choices. Please note: The products are 3D printed in corn starch and 40% wood dust. This means that they are not made of solid wood, but they are lightweight, feel like wood and smell like wood. The surface can be both sanded and painted if you want to further adapt the expression.
