Although the two designs that dominate the Confetti & Splash collection are very similar, it’s easy to tell the difference when you know what you’re looking for. The confetti glass is the glass with the small opal spots, whereas the splash glass is the one with the larger opal spots. However, both glasses are made according to the same old Czech traditions, which ultimately creates the beautiful result.
All Confetti & Splash lenses start out as clear lenses that are rolled into crushed opal lenses in selected colors and sizes. The glasses are then placed in the oven so that the materials are fused together, and then each glass is mouth blown into a wooden mould. In this way, Anna von Lipa achieves to create a series of unique glasses that still have the same shape and therefore work well with both each other and the many glasses in the manufacturer's Mix & Match collection.
