The story of the hedgehog glass series.

The series is produced in Bohemia in the Czech Republic and is made at one of the old glassworks, where you are still proud craftsmen with special traditions. It is their special water and sand, which are the most important ingredient in the creation of the entire series. When making a glass or jug, the glasswork gets a carpenter to make a wooden mould. They are used both to help shape and pattern. Making a mouth-blown crystal glass or jug is a long process. First, the ingredients for the glass must be mixed, the oven must be made ready, the mold must be made, the glass must be inflated, the excess glass must be cut off, the edges must be burned and sanded, and then they get vinegar baths. Therefore, this glass also costs slightly more than a mass-produced glass and yet the price is still gone at the cheap end. Since they are mouth blown glass, they can vary slightly in thickness. You have to love the diversity and accept that there may be air bubbles and that it is part of the charm. All the mouth-blown glasses from Anna von Lipa can go into the dishwasher. We recommend that you do not wash them more than 40 degrees and avoid long drying cycles. At the same time, make sure that your dishwasher’s salt and relaxation balance are in place.
