The founder of Coucou Suzette: Juliette Mallet, a Parisian illustrator who grew up in an artistic family. Her mother is a painter and child stylist, her father is a musician, and her younger brother makes sculptures.
It all started in 2016, thanks to a pair of breasts. At a time when women wanted to free the nipple, Juliette created a ring for one of her friends: more precisely a ceramic bosom ring, made with love and for fun.
The artwork was posted on Instagram, and surprise! Everybody wants one.
Amazed by the enthusiasm and high demand, Juliette begins selling her creations online. It went fast and the demand was so high that she quit her 9-to-5 job to go all-in on this new adventure! This is how Coucou Suzette was born (thanks to her nipples).
The brand name was found in two minutes on a brainstorming session, and it was an instant crush, just like all Coucou Suzette creations are. Juliette liked the funny and slightly cheesy sound of it, and Suzette was the name of her beloved kitten.
Year after year the team grew, the brand could launch its own website, the picking of orders was delegated to a logistics team (no more order preparation in the living room...), and the creations could finally be sold in many shops around the world.
To meet the ever-changing market situation, Juliette decided to translate her drawings into colorful and kitsch accessories: first vintage 90s pins, then socks with naughty patterns, cool hair clips and creative jewelry.
Original creations at affordable prices, created to add a little colorful and lively atmosphere to your everyday life and make people smile (cliché, but true). Perfect to spice up any outfit in no time and a great way to break the ice with your neighbor. Juliette's mother is a painter and child stylist, her father is a musician, and her younger brother makes sculptures. Juliette studied illustration at the Arts Déco in Paris (ENSAD) and in Japan, a country she fell in love with. She then studied jewellery at Ecole Boulle in Paris.
Juliette's world is easy and fun - she creates all collections with great spontaneity, monitors production and manages communication for the brand (AD & social media).
