Description
The smart wool balls are an ingenious invention!
The environmentally friendly balls are delivered directly to the dryer with the wet clothes. The balls absorb some of the water from the clothes and the clothes therefore dry faster. Time in the tumbler can be shortened by 30%. This means less energy is used and less water is discharged as wastewater.
In addition, the wool balls also make your clothes look wonderfully soft – completely without using any rinse aid – and counteract static electricity.
The wool balls are made of 100% nepal wool and can be used again and again.
At Afroart, they want to collaborate with local craftsmen and artists from countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America. The aim is to make the craft visible in areas where the craft is one of the most important sources of income. Afroart’s own design team helps to develop both the design, but also the development of tools, creating new areas of work and at the same time helping the traditional crafts survive. Here the focus is on not wearing down or misusing the earth’s resources. So here is an extra focus on recycling materials. Things are handmade and preferably locally, this is to create life in the cities and not collect the work in larger cities.
Afroart imports through fair trade organisations, which ensure that they trade directly from small artisans.
The following countries cooperate with Bangladesh, Bolivia, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Ecuador, Ivory Coast, El Salvador, Philippines, Ghana, Guatemala, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Morocco, Mexico, Mongolia, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, Senegal, Sri Lanka, South Africa, Tanzania, Vietnam.
