Toilet bag Kantha “Karla” – Purple with flowers (No.306)

The Karla Kantha Wash Bag has a perfectly organically rounded shape. The curved top is closed with a golden YKK zipper. The laundry bag is made of a recycled Kantha rug and is lightly padded. It has a zippered pocket inside the liner, which is made of 100% organic cotton. We produce a limited number of bags of each Kantha rug, and therefore there may be differences in colors from the picture.

This unique product is upcycled from a vintage Kantha rug. The Kantha embroidery technique creatively upcycles old cotton sairs, previously worn by Indian women, and gives them new life as upcycled clothes, blankets or bedspreads. The old fabric is placed on top of each other and sewn together by hand using the traditional Kantha embroidery technique. This technique is characterized by the many rows of short, continuous stitches. This distinctive embroidery method has been used in India for hundreds of years and is especially prevalent among rural women. Each Kantha product is unique in both its print and colour combinations.
