The large Birdie Vase from Anna von Lipa is a vase novelty with both volume and elegance. With its height of 20 cm and beautiful oval shape, it adds character and softness to the room. The shape is inspired by the silhouette of a baby bird – graceful, round and full of life.

The vase is mouth blown in the iconic porcupine glass, which is known for its structured surface and ability to capture the light in a beautiful way. This gives it an exclusive, almost jewel-like look – and makes it just as suitable as a decorative object as it is for fresh flowers.

The spacious size makes the Birdie vase ideal for medium-sized bouquets, branches or a collection of wild flowers – and it works just as well on the dining table, as on a dresser, on the window sill or as a centerpiece in cafe or restaurant environments.

Available in a range of elegant colours including:
Pink Purple Olivegreen Clear crystal – and several shades you can match or mix.

Height: 20 cm Diameter: 13 cm
Each vase is unique and handmade in Europe.

Description
The porcupine glass series is produced in Bohemia in the Czech Republic. It is mouth blown at one of the old glassworks, where you are still proud craftsmen with special traditions. Their special water and sand are an important ingredient in the creation of the entire series. The sand is thus an important ingredient in the glass itself. For each glass or jug, a carpenter makes a wooden mold, which is used for pattern and size. Making a mouth-blown crystal glass or jug is a long process. There are many stages in the process where the glass needs to be mixed, the oven needs to be ready, the mold needs to be made, the glass needs to be inflated, the excess glass needs to be cut off, the edges need to be burned and sanded. Therefore, this glass costs slightly more than a lot of produced glass. However, the price is still at the low end, for a piece of craftsmanship. Since they are mouth blown glass, they can vary slightly in thickness and how many swirls there are on a glass. You have to love the diversity and accept that there may be air bubbles and that it is part of the charm. All the mouth-blown glasses from Anna von Lipa can go into the dishwasher.
