Sirius Bunch from A World of Craft is a beautiful folding paper star in off-white and red. It has a simple, classic look and is nice to hang in the window, in a doorway, on a wall or somewhere where you want to create a little extra Christmas atmosphere.

The star is made of handmade lokta paper from Nepal. Lokta paper is made from the bark of the Lokta bush, and Nepal is known for this traditional paper production. The handmade paper gives the star a light and vibrant look that blends beautifully with both classic Christmas decorations and more natural materials.

The star can be folded up after Christmas, making it easy to pack away and save for next year.

Dimensions: Diameter 36 cm / depth 9 cm
Material: handmade lokta paper
Fairtrade / produced in Nepal

Description
At Afroart, they want to collaborate with local craftsmen and artists from countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America. The aim is to make the craft visible in areas where the craft is one of the most important sources of income. Afroart’s own design team helps to develop both the design, but also the development of tools, creating new areas of work and at the same time helping the traditional crafts survive. Here the focus is on not wearing down or misusing the earth’s resources. So here is an extra focus on recycling materials. Things are handmade and preferably locally, this is to create life in the cities and not collect the work in larger cities. Afroart imports through fair trade organisations, which ensure that they trade directly from small artisans. The following countries cooperate with Bangladesh, Bolivia, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Ecuador, Ivory Coast, El Salvador, Philippines, Ghana, Guatemala, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Morocco, Mexico, Mongolia, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, Senegal, Sri Lanka, South Africa, Tanzania, Vietnam.
