Studio Arhøj – Edo Series – Spring Bowl
The Spring Bowl is a handmade stoneware bowl from Studio Arhøj, designed for everyday use with both function and aesthetics in mind. The bowl is turned in different types of stoneware and glazed in natural, rustic and earthy glazes, which give each bowl its own unique expression.
Its large size makes the dish ideal for a generous serving of soup, pasta, ramen or salad. The wide and sturdy base ensures that the bowl is stable on the table and provides a good weight when used.
Each bowl is 100% handmade, and variations in colour, glaze and surface are a natural part of the design. Photos are therefore a guide, and the uniqueness is part of the charm of Studio Arhøj’s ceramics.

Care and use
The bowl is dishwasher-safe, but handwashing is recommended to maintain glaze and surface as long as possible. All Studio Arhøj stoneware bowls are microwave safe.
Unglazed or partially unglazed surfaces, such as the distinctive speckled surfaces on the Spring Bowl, can become slightly stained over time. Frequent washing helps prevent and remove discoloration. For more stubborn stains, the bowl can be washed on a gentle program in the dishwasher or placed in hot water with a dishwasher drain.
Dark cuts from cutlery can be removed with limescale powder (for example Wiener lime) or by lightly scrubbing with sponge, detergent and some baking soda. Fatty marks on matte surfaces can be reduced by rubbing the area with a food grade oil, letting it pull and then washing with soap and water.
Important
Never pour boiling water directly into a cold, handmade bowl. Let the water stop bubbling first, and preferably preheat the bowl with warm tap water. In the worst case, large temperature differences can cause cracks in clay or glaze.
