It is mouth blown on one of the old glass vents in Bohemia in the Czech Republic. Here they are still proud craftsmen with special traditions and where it is still okay to take a cold beer for the hot work by the ovens. In Bohemia, it is especially their special water and sand, which is an important ingredient in the creation of all the beautiful mouth-blown glass. The sand is thus an important ingredient in the glass itself. For each glass or jug, a carpenter makes a wooden mold, which is used for pattern and size. Making a mouth-blown crystal glass or jug is a long process. There are many stages in the process where the glass needs to be mixed, the oven needs to be ready, the mold needs to be made, the glass needs to be inflated, the excess glass needs to be cut off, the edges need to be burned and sanded. Therefore, this glass costs slightly more than a lot of produced glass. However, the price is still at the low end, for a piece of craftsmanship. Because it is mouth blown glass, they can vary slightly in thickness or how the pattern is expressed on the glass.
