A small vase from Bornholm’s ceramic factory, hand-turned and hand glazed.

Because each vase is made by hand, there may be small differences in shape, size, glaze and color from vase to vase. This is precisely part of the beauty of handmade ceramics and means that each vase has its own unique expression.

The size is good for some flowers from the garden, but the vase is also nice to have standing alone.

Dimensions: Diameter approx. 10 cm – Height approx. 13 cm
Material: Ceramic
Detail: Hand turned and hand glazed

Note: Small variations in shape, glaze and color may occur as each vase is hand-made.

Description
BORNHOLM CERAMIC FACTORY The intention for Bornholms Keramikfabrik is to create and design an appealing service with a subtle and simple look: Here is the scene and the mood set by you (the customer) when you choose and combine your Favorite combination of color and shape. When you buy their products, you are helping to support and revive a proud craft tradition and production on Bornholm (Denmark). Our products are locally produced, which implements and maintains the regional craft tradition with a long history in the beautiful Bornholm nature. Currently, they use two techniques in their production "jigger jollying" and turning. These techniques require craftsmanship, excellent skills, strength and attention to detail. They are a strong - and growing - team of approximately 15 employees, whose expertise and commitment comes from: a great passion and interest in ceramics, combined with the strong desire to maintain the craftsmanship of a local production. All their products are high-burning stoneware. They glaze all products with glazes that are approved as being in contact with food. New decorations and glazes are continually added. At Bornholm’s Ceramics Factory, we design and produce our own signature service – Ø service. We are proud to be part of a strong local ceramic tradition on Bornholm, and based on the local authenticity, it is our goal to maintain a stable ceramic production in Denmark. Bornholm’s ceramic factory is owned by Frans Grønholdt Truelsen, who lives in Copenhagen and on Bornholm.
