The bag motif contains a complex composition of circles, spirals, mill wheels and ribbon-like lines that unfold into a playful visual language.

Hilma af Klint pioneered radical abstract art and began her experiments as early as 1906. Her works are bold and colorful, freed from recognizable references to the physical world, a marked step ahead of her contemporaries such as Kandinsky, Malevich, and Mondrian, who would later follow similar paths in The liberation of art from representative content.
