Hanging baskets “Macrame” in palm leaves – set of 3

A decorative pendant with three small hanging baskets in different sizes, braided with palm leaves. The baskets hang together in one hanging unit and provide a natural, lightweight and handmade look in the interior.

The hanging baskets are especially nice in the bathroom, where the small baskets can be used for shampoo, conditioner, hair products, washcloths or other small things you would like to have collected in a decorative way. They are also beautiful in the kitchen, in the living room or in a window, where they can be used for small plants or as a natural storage solution.

The palm leaves give the baskets a warm and organic look that fits beautifully into both colorful, bohemian-inspired and simpler homes. The suspension is also practical because it utilises the height of the room and creates storage without taking up desk or shelf space.

Each hammock is handmade in Madagascar as part of a fair trade partnership. Small variations in braid, colour and shape are therefore a natural part of the product and help to make each set unique.

Description
At Afroart, they want to collaborate with local craftsmen and artists from countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America. The aim is to make the craft visible in areas where the craft is one of the most important sources of income. Afroart’s own design team helps to develop both the design, but also the development of tools, creating new areas of work and at the same time helping the traditional crafts survive. Here the focus is on not wearing down or misusing the earth’s resources. So here is an extra focus on recycling materials. Things are handmade and preferably locally, this is to create life in the cities and not collect the work in larger cities. Afroart imports through fair trade organisations, which ensure that they trade directly from small artisans. The following countries cooperate with Bangladesh, Bolivia, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Ecuador, Ivory Coast, El Salvador, Philippines, Ghana, Guatemala, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Morocco, Mexico, Mongolia, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, Senegal, Sri Lanka, South Africa, Tanzania, Vietnam.
