SUITE702 – Martens & Martens beach towel 90 x 180 cm
This large beach towel from SUITE702’s Martens & Martens collection combines colourful design with light and soft quality – perfect for beach, pool or summer days in the garden. The graphic stripe design gives the towel a characterful and modern look, where the colors play together in a vibrant pattern.
The collection is created in collaboration with the renowned Dutch artist and designer Karel Martens and is inspired by his art project “Colors on the Beach”, developed for the city of Le Havre. Here Martens worked with colorful stripes in different widths – inspired by the iconic beach houses along the coast – an expression that is repeated in the textiles in the collection.
The beach towel measures 90 x 180 cm and is made of 100% organic combed cotton. With a quality of 420 g/m2, the towel is lighter than classic beach towels, making it ideal for the beach. The combed cotton yarns provide a soft and comfortable surface, while still keeping the towel absorbent and quickly drying.
Wash the towel before use: the SUITE702 towels are woven in a dense and powerful quality of 550 GSM. Once the towel has been folded during transport and storage, the terry cloth loops can be pressed flat along the folds. It can cause the underlying weave or color from the back to temporarily become visible as a light stripe or unevenness. It's not a mistake in the weave.
After the first wash, the cotton fibers will open up and stand up again. The towel will become more voluminous and uniform, and the fold lines will usually disappear.
We always recommend washing the towel before first use. This applies not only because of any folds from packing and transport, but also because the sink helps the cotton fibers to open up and improves the towel's absorbency.
