This long paper skirt can be hung both vertically and horizontally, creating a light and colourful look in the room. The leaves come in many different bright colors that give life and movement – whether they are hanging over a table, in a window or down from the ceiling.

The girl duck is perfect for birthdays in the children's room or other festive occasions, but it is also beautiful as a solid, decorative detail in everyday life. Hang it on a branch, let it fall freely from the ceiling or place it by the window where the light can play in the colored leaves.

The paper is made from Lokta – a shrub that grows wild in Nepal’s mountains. Lokta paper is known for its strength and durability, while also having a lightweight and vibrant structure. Production takes place by carefully harvesting the bark without destroying the plant, which naturally grows back. This makes Lokta paper a more sustainable choice than conventional paper, as trees are not cut down and the process requires minimal use of chemicals.

Nepal is known worldwide for its tradition of papermaking, and its production creates important jobs in rural areas.

Description
At Afroart, they want to collaborate with local craftsmen and artists from countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America. The aim is to make the craft visible in areas where the craft is one of the most important sources of income. Afroart’s own design team helps to develop both the design, but also the development of tools, creating new areas of work and at the same time helping the traditional crafts survive. Here the focus is on not wearing down or misusing the earth’s resources. So here is an extra focus on recycling materials. Things are handmade and preferably locally, this is to create life in the cities and not collect the work in larger cities. Afroart imports through fair trade organisations, which ensure that they trade directly from small artisans. The following countries cooperate with Bangladesh, Bolivia, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Ecuador, Ivory Coast, El Salvador, Philippines, Ghana, Guatemala, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Morocco, Mexico, Mongolia, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, Senegal, Sri Lanka, South Africa, Tanzania, Vietnam.
