Dots in a Row is a decorative garland filled with colorful circles in different sizes, patterns and shades. The small “bombs” give a playful and artistic expression that fits perfectly in a colorful home, in the children’s room or as an extra touch for festive occasions. Each garland is handmade in Nepal and is characterized by the fine craftsmanship that characterizes A World of Craft Studio.

Guirlanden is made of lokta paper – a natural and sustainable material that originates from the bark of the fast-growing lokta bush in the Himalayas. Lokta is known for its strength, flexibility and beautiful structure. It is harvested in a way that allows the shrub to grow again, and therefore it is a renewable resource that does not burden the forests. No trees are used from unauthorized forestry, and production also creates important jobs in local Nepalese craft communities.

With its length of approximately 240 cm, Dots in a Row is easy to hang in the window, along a shelf or around a mirror. It weighs almost nothing and instantly gives the room more life and personality.

Description
At Afroart, they want to collaborate with local craftsmen and artists from countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America. The aim is to make the craft visible in areas where the craft is one of the most important sources of income. Afroart’s own design team helps to develop both the design, but also the development of tools, creating new areas of work and at the same time helping the traditional crafts survive. Here the focus is on not wearing down or misusing the earth’s resources. So here is an extra focus on recycling materials. Things are handmade and preferably locally, this is to create life in the cities and not collect the work in larger cities. Afroart imports through fair trade organisations, which ensure that they trade directly from small artisans. The following countries cooperate with Bangladesh, Bolivia, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Ecuador, Ivory Coast, El Salvador, Philippines, Ghana, Guatemala, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Morocco, Mexico, Mongolia, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, Senegal, Sri Lanka, South Africa, Tanzania, Vietnam.
