Raffia Star Large from A World of Craft is a large, beautiful and hand-woven tray in natural raffia. The round shape and the fine wickerwork give the tray a warm and natural look, which fits beautifully together with both colorful ceramics and more classic interiors.

With a diameter of 36 cm, there is plenty of room for both serving and storage. Use it as a large bread basket, for fruit or as a serving tray for small treats. It is also ideal for the kitchen table, where you can collect olive oil, vinegar, spices and pepper grinder, or on the dining table with a vase, candles and other decorative items.

Raffia is a durable natural material that comes from the raffia palm, which grows in tropical areas of Africa. The fibres are extracted from the palm leaves and processed into long threads that are woven by hand. It is a traditional craft that gives each tray its own distinctive character with small natural variations in shape and braiding.

The ground is handmade in Madagascar under fair trade conditions, where local craftsmanship is an important part of production.
