Matches from Archivist Gallery – Winter Joy
Winter Joy from Archivist Gallery is a decorative matchbox in navy blue with a large snowflake on the front and the text “Winter Joy” printed in gold letters. The combination of navy blue and gold gives the box a classic winter look that suits both Christmas decorations and the rest of the décor.
Archivist Gallery’s matchboxes are more than practical matches. They are designed to be placed next to candles, on the coffee table, in a bookcase or together with other decorative details in the home.
The special feature of the Archivist Gallery is their traditional letterpress print. The motifs are printed on old-fashioned printing presses, where the print is pressed into the paper and creates a noticeable structure. This gives the boxes a different finish than regular printed packaging and is an important part of the brand’s focus on craftsmanship and quality.
Winter Joy is ideal for the cozy moments of winter, where candlelight is a natural part of the interior design. The navy blue box can both be used in Christmas decorations and for the rest of the winter without necessarily being part of the Christmas decoration.
Matches are also a great gift idea. Use the box as a hostess gift, an advent gift, a calendar gift or as a small extra gift along with a scented candle or a candlestick.
The box contains approximately 125 matches and combines traditional printmaking with a design that can stand out.

Description
Matches from the Archivist Gallery
Matches from the Archivist Gallery are far more than just something practical for lighting a candle. The iconic boxes are small design objects in themselves – created with beautiful illustrations, colorful typography and the special tactile feel that characterizes classic letterpress printing. Archivist Gallery is a British family-owned brand with a great love for paper, print and good craftsmanship. Their matchboxes are printed in the UK and made with a focus on both quality and aesthetics. The boxes are decorative enough to lie on the coffee table, next to the candles, in the bathroom, in the kitchen or together with beautiful coffee table books and design books. The large matches make it easy to light candles, block candles, scented candles, lanterns, fireplaces or bonfires – without burning your fingers. At the same time, the boxes are so beautiful that they also function as a small gift in themselves. Use them as a hostess gift, advent gift, calendar gift, almond gift or as a little extra along with a candle, soap, vase or other nice gift. It’s such an everyday item that you really always need – just in a much more beautiful version. At Remix by Sofie you will find Archivist Gallery matches in many different designs, colours and expressions. Some are graphic and humorous, others botanical, poetic or vintage-inspired – but common to them all is that they do something as simple as light a candle a little more special.
