LULU Copenhagen
Lulu Copenhagen – a candy shop with earrings!
LULU Copenhagen is a Danish desHoHigner jewellery brand based in Copenhagen. The brand was established at Nørrebro in 2014 by married couple Anja and Rasmus Gottliebsen based on a common passion for art and design.
The brand stands for simplicity with playful designs at an accessible price tag. The designers want to inspire people around the world to get the most out of life.
A large part of the concept is "candyshop", which is a playful universe with fine little earrings in all sorts of figurative designs.
With their statement – Less Is Enough – the brand embraces their message that we should only buy things where the design speaks to us. We don't need more things in the world that aren't being used. This is one reason why it is possible to buy the highly loved, figurative Candy Earrings individually. This is also one of the reasons why we at Remix By Sofie are happy with the brand, as we also care about having brands with sustainable mindsets.
Furthermore, at Lulu, they have also thought about sustainability in terms of having minimal packaging. All eartags in LULU's Candy Shop are pre-packaged in small square jewelry boxes that can be used to store the eartags. Each jewelry box has its own cover (sleeve) that tells which ear plug is inside the jewelry box and there is even the option to deselect the packaging.
Production takes place locally in Denmark – more specifically in Jutland – both because of the high manufacturing quality, but also to save the climate from unnecessary strain through long and heavy transport.
