Afroart – Colorful and Fairtrade

You have embraced the new colourful fair trade cushions from Swedish brand Afroart. The design is Swedish, but all their pillows are made in collaboration with both local artists and small craftsmen. Here they use the skills and knowledge of the locals to combine Swedish design with old traditions from the different geographical areas.

All the striped cushions are made in Guatemala. Next door, you will see one of them sitting and weaving.

The other pads are made in India, where they make block prints and every single print is applied by hand.
