“Klimakløktigt Kagekalas” is a recipe book by Jasmin Gabay, former participant in The Great Baking Dyst, focusing on food waste when baking cakes.

Size: 170 x 240 mm, Cover: Hardcover, Language: Danish.

Description
With the increasing interest in baking and cake art, not least due to wonderful programs like "The Great Bakedog" unfortunately comes a rather big food waste. Remains, cake edges and semi-filled bags and buckets with special ingredients that will never be used again. We throw out more than 700,000 tons of food every year, equivalent to every fifth shopping cart. The CO2 contribution from sweets, snacks and various beverages is the same as our CO2 contribution from red meat. All of this has made Jasmin Gabay think about what we can do to reduce CO2 emissions and take better care of our land, without having to forgo too much of a good thing. The Kimen for this book was seriously laid out when she was an ambassador for the Danish Church Aid’s food waste campaign in the spring and was tasked with creating cake and dessert recipes for environmental reasons. The book’s mission is thus to make sustainability accessible to everyone and entice more people into the kitchen with fun and easy recipes. The recipes are divided into different categories, such as “The one with yellow marks”, which are based on the supermarket’s ingredients with date marking. It is often the same products that end up with the yellow labels. Many of them are very good at baking, and in this way you can help reduce food waste and save money. Jasmine has also been on a trip to the back of her kitchen cabinet and found out which bags are left unused for the longest time. There are some fun, but incredibly tasty cakes out there. Because taste is still the most important thing when we bake! The recipes are divided according to the 12 months of the year, focusing on the seasons and the different fruits and berries that are in season.

Size: 170 x 240 mm, Cover: Hardcover, Language: Danish.
