We select fair trade, upcycling, recycling and ecology whenever possible. This commitment to ethical trade and sustainability is what drives our choice of brands and partners.

We want to inspire you to make conscious choices, both in terms of aesthetics and ethics. Owning beautiful things is not just about the visual, but also about deciding how and by whom they are produced. Our goal is to be a source of inspiration, where you can find products that are not only pleasing to the eye, but also to the conscience. This is also why we have Anna von Lipa in our range.

In a world of constant change, where we are reminded every day of the choices we make, we at Remix by Sofie believe that responsibility is more important than ever. Responsibility for how and where our products come into being – and for the decisions we make as a company every day.

We believe that production closer to Denmark makes a difference: it strengthens the European economy, reduces transport and CO2 emissions and promotes more sustainable and responsible production. Yes, we could no doubt sell even more of our own wine glasses if they were produced in China rather than in the Czech Republic – but that would be at the expense of something far more important. That’s why we choose quality, craftsmanship and thoughtfulness instead of quick wins.

This also means that we actively opt out of a wide range of products from Danish suppliers if production does not meet our values. However, in individual cases, we must compromise when alternatives in Europe do not exist or do not meet the necessary standards. Here, our European partners ensure that our products still comply with EU regulations – both for safety and environmental reasons.

One example is hairdressing, where we have not yet found a European alternative – but we are constantly looking for solutions. Just like we did with our cooler bags, which are usually only made in China, but where we found a manufacturer in France. Or our shower curtains, which are mostly Chinese – but ours are produced in the UK.

For us, it’s not just about products. It is about values. At Remix by Sofie, we use our platform to stand up for what we believe in: integrity, transparency and conscious choices that go beyond profit. We take responsibility – for the environment, for European production and for the people who, with their hands and craftsmanship, create the beautiful things we are proud to share with you.
